Squadron 44 is pleased to support the annual Wreaths Across America program on 17 December 2016 at the San Francisco National Cemetary in the Presidio.

The stated mission of Wreaths Across America is: Remember, Honor, Teach.

  • Remember the fallen.
  • Honor those who serve and their families.
  • Teach the future generations about the sacrifices made to preserve our freedoms.

This program encourages donors to sponsor Remembrance Wreaths that are then placed on a gravesite in the cemetary. We are honoring all veterans and active military members by placing live wreaths on the headstones of veterans. The fresh evergreens are a symbol used for centuries to recognize honor, and a living tribute renewed annually. We want people to see the tradition as a living memorial to veterans and their families.

Wreath donations can be made at any time during the year but the deadline for this year is 28 NOV. The funds we raise through these donations help us to provide even more value in the programs we provide to our members and in service to our community.

Sponsoring a wreath online is convenient but perhaps slightly complicated, follow these steps precisely:

  1. Go to this website: https://wreaths.fastport.com/donateLocation.html?page=20842&relate=15539
  2. Click on the red “Donate” button that appears to the right of the page
  3. Select your wreath sponsorship option from the dropdown window (for example: “4 Wreaths / $60 – Family of 4”)
  4. Click on the “Next” button
  5. Enter your name, email address and specific gravesite selection (if desired) and “In Honor Of” if appropriate; finally, select your payment method (credit card or EFT)
  6. Enter the required information and click the red “Agree & Pay” button

Thank you for supporting Squadron 44 and the Wreaths Across America program.
