SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA and RENO, NV - For ten days this summer, C/2d Lt Albert, C/CMSgt Beal and C/CMSgt Hockel gave up the opportunity to sleep in and play video games(!) in order to spend roughly 16 hours a day working in various staff roles in support of the Cadet training Encampment.

Squadron 44 hosts a State-wide exercise based at Buchannan Field.  Both ground and air operations were launched related to simulated disasters.  Results were monitored by the Air Force to gage CAP's capabilities to respond.

CONCORD - C/1st Lt Jesse Case has completed fifteen months of service as the Cadet Commander and is turning the leadership of the Cadet cadre over to C/2nd Lt Jon de Leon. Lieutenant Case will be completing nine years as a CAP Cadet and transitioning to Senior membership.

CALIFORNIA – Cadet Staff Sgt. Mitchell Dobin had never met any of them.  In fact, he wasn’t even born by the time most of them had died.  Yet on a cold December morning, Dobin and his fellow cadets from Diablo Composite Squadron 44 were laying wreaths on their graves.
